Spicy Shrimp Burger with Vegetables

When you think of a hamburger you mostly might have bun, beef and sauce in mind. Maybe some cheese too. That’s certainly mostly the case and I created my fair share of those kinds of burgers in the past. After visiting a local food festival I got the inspiration for a different kind of burger. This is all about the spicy shrimp burger with vegetables on the side.

Nutty Chocolate Cake – Low Carb And Paleo Friendly

It’s getting nuts again. I have been looking for a low carb and paleo-friendly chocolate cake. Previously, I shared my recipe for the paleo hazelnut chocolate fudge with you. I wanted to elevate this recipe to another – calorie-dense and yet outstandingly delicious – level. Here comes the nutty chocolate cake. It’s relatively low carb and paleo-friendly.

Low Carb Steak Cheeseburger with Tostones, Salad and Guacamole – Pirate Edition

Cheeseburgers are definitely one of my favorite things to make and eat. The level of detail and finesse to make a great hamburger is way over 9000. Unfortunately most people haven’t got the memo yet and eat tasteless cheeseburgers from boring fast food chains. As I managed to get some amazing beef patties I figured it was time for a new cheeseburger recipe: my low carb steak cheeseburger with tostones, salad and guacamole (pirate edition).

Paleo Hazelnut Chocolate Fudge – A Low Carb Recipe

Lately, I’ve been craving chocolate a lot. As I am feeling great on my low carb diet (yummy cake, soup to name a few recipes) I was looking for a recipe that fits both criteria. I wasn’t very lucky when I glanced over a few on the Internet. Luckily my wife was! After a few tries and changes on the recipe, I’ll share with you what ended up being a delicious paleo hazelnut chocolate fudge – best served warm!

Surf and Turf with purée and guacamole

This recipe is the main course of my Delhaize Luxembourg sponsored healthy 2-course menu on a tight budget for two people. As the main course I created a delicious surf and turf dish with a sweet potato purée and a guacamole. Here you’ll find the links to the main article and the starter.

Beef Wellington with mushrooms and chestnuts

Beef Wellington with mushrooms and chestnuts is the main dish of my 3-course menu for Christmas. It works in the menu but also as a delicious winter dish on a stand-alone basis. I have a main article with the complete 3-course menu for you here. Also here are the links to the starter (creamy mushrooms soup with chestnuts) and the dessert (eclair with chestnut cream). Vegan Chocolate Banana Muffins – Foolproof Recipe

I’ve got a new muffin recipe for you all. This recipe is vegan and very easy to make and even more versatile. Below you’ll find the recipe for my vegan chocolate banana muffins! Vegan Chocolate Banana Muffins: Why vegan? I am not living a vegan lifestyle in general, but when it comes to baking I most of the time prefer it this way. Why? Well, in my case it comes down to convenience. As I am not eating much Continue Reading…

Vegan Cheesecake Brownies

I’m not the person with the biggest sweet tooth out there. To my big surprise, I’m making huge progress in that department. Nevertheless, I’ve got a big addiction to dark chocolate and cheesecake, especially cheesecake! After stumbling over Alpro’s vegan version of low-fat cottage cheese (here’s my review about it) by accident, my editor in chief and myself have been thinking about doing some baking experiments with the product. In today’s blog post I’ll share the first one of Continue Reading…

Nutella Muffins
