MAPS Powerlift Review – Mind Pump Media

Mind Pump Media started out as a podcast. The hosts, Sal, Adam and Justin, together with the producer Doug, share their insights about fitness, health or fat loss in almost daily shows. They really tell it as it is, debunking common myths, misunderstandings in order to help you figure out what works and what doesn’t. In this article, I introduce you to MAPS Powerlift (or on YouTube).

Speaking of powerlifting, I just launched a completely free powerlifting course which included a 17-week training program. It’s a 5-day split and requires access to a commercial gym. Check it out!

“MAPS Powerlift is a complete workout program designed specifically to train fitness enthusiasts for their first powerlifting competition. It is also designed to simply help people maximize their strength in the “big three” lifts: the squat, the deadlift and the bench press. It’s a strength focused program versus a “looks” based program. With this program, you can expect to make exceptional absolute strength progress in the barbell squat, barbell deadlift and the barbell bench press. It also includes coaching videos starring powerlifting competitor Ben Pollack to help you with competition prep and what to expect on the day of the competition. It shifts your focus from how you look to how well you perform. Along with strength you will gain whole body muscle and a “faster” metabolism when combined with a good diet. In order to successfully complete this 11-week program, you will need access to a squat rack, an adjustable sturdy bench, a barbell and dumbbells. Access to a full gym is preferred but a well equipped home gym will suffice.”

Why am I doing this?

The reason I did this review, is because people kept asking me about my thought about it. Does it work? How was it? Is it fun? Can you actually get stronger? Is it worth the money?

After repeating myself a few times, I decided to review the MAPS programs. I have a playlist with all of them on youtube: Mind Pump Review Playlist.

Just to be clear: this review is my personal opinion. No one paid me to do it. I received no incentive to write this article or record the video.

MAPS Powerlift Review

In the review, I tackle all the questions mentioned above, and more. If you are intrigued, have a look and make sure to give my video a like and share your thoughts in the comments too. I will share more videos in the future and would love to see you around, so make sure to subscribe to my channel.

MAPS Powerlift is for everyone who has learned to properly squat, bench press, deadlift and overhead press. You will learn everything about MAPS Powerlift in my YouTube review, but here are a few highlights of the program:

MAPS Powerliftis a phased program, suitable for powerlifting peaking:

  • you need a a barbell with weights
  • a bench
  • and a powerrack
  • time (4 training sessions a week)
  • and the desire to get stronger

The program includes a Masterclass from Ben Pollack, letting you know what powerlifting and peaking is all about.

I hope this gets you excited to watch my review!
